How to Choose the Right Pixel Pitch for Your LED Screens Project ?
The dot pitch refers to the distance between the center points of adjacent pixels. The smaller the dot pitch, the higher the pixel density, the more information capacity per unit area can be displayed at one time, and the closer the distance suitable for viewing.
On the contrary, the larger the dot pitch, the lower the pixel density, and the less information capacity can be displayed per unit area at one time, the farther the viewing distance is.
When selecting the display screen based on the dot pitch, two factors are mainly considered:
1. The viewing distance of the display
The position where the display can be observed is collectively referred to as the "display viewing distance". The best viewing distance and the farthest viewing distance of the display can be derived through the calculation formula, and the best viewing distance (the content on the display can be seen completely , And not flat color, the clearest position of the image content relative to the vertical distance of the screen) and the farthest viewing distance (the distance at which the display screen can be seen clearly)
Calculation formula: best viewing distance = point spacing/(0.3-0.8)m
What is calculated is a viewing distance range. The best viewing distance of the LED display is not only related to the screen dot pitch, but also has a lot to do with the screen brightness, gray level, viewing angle, consistency and other parameter settings. It has an inseparable relationship with the brightness of the scene and the direction of observation.
The farthest viewing distance = screen height x 30 m.
2. The total number of pixels required for the display screen
The resolution required by the display screen is determined uniformly according to the resolution of the content to be played, the requirements of the application scenario, and the size of the screen.
Hope it will work for you !
